In the unfortunate event of a break off the 3 part safety system will make sure the hooked fish is not trailing a leader around with it and removes any chance of the fish becoming tethered.

Perfect for use on Leadcore and Lead Free Leaders.

When I ordered these I was wondering what I was going to get, these are exactly the same as the heli/chod safety beads sold by Korda. The main advantage for me with these is they grip the lead free leaders a lot better than the other brands!

Good for leaders, but can be adapted for naked chod Verified Purchase

As per description, designed for leadcore and lead-free leaders . Not supplied on wire, and the bore is too large for fluoro or mono. BUT, if you use some mono to tie a five-turn stop knot above the top bead, they also work very well on a naked rig. The no-trace bead slips right over the stop knot.
